Hayward PoolVac/Navigator V-Flex Turbine Kit - Turbine and 2 Turbine Bearings The turbine kit (turbine and 2 turbine bearings) are replacement parts that are made by Hayward and used the same high-grade materials that were used to make the original factory parts. This makes them genuine OEM parts that all our customers can trust. The turbine kit was created to be the operating mechanism that powers the cleaner’s ability to maneuver around the surfaces of the pool as it sucks and pulls dirt and debris which then disperses into the filtration system. As the turbine rotates it creates the motion needed for the a-frames to move back and forth in opposite directions which moves the pods and pod shoes the same way creating the pattern needed for the cleaner to move. This part is white and comes with two bearings that aid in the movement of the turbine as well as the debris that runs through it. This turbine has been upgraded by Hayward to allow the debris to travel easier as it will flex back and open a bigger passage, this will also decrease the number of times that debris will get stuck and cause a stop to the cleaning process.
