Hayward PoolVac Ultra/PoolVac/PoolVac XL/PoolVac Classic/Navigator V-Flex/Navigator Pro/Hayward Blu Gear Box Assembly (AXV408P) Gear Box Assembly (AXV408P) is a replacement part that was made by Hayward from the same high-quality materials used to manufacture the original Factory part making this a genuine OEM product. This Gear Box is the “Brains” of the cleaner as it operates majority of the Gears and parts that need rotating power to operate. This Gear Box is also responsible for controlling when to turn the cleaner in a different direction so that way its cleaning pattern changes allowing it to cover the entire concrete surface of the in-ground pool. This part is small and shaped like a box on its top side while the lower half is shaped to conform to the cleaners Lower Middle Body fitting snugly into place so that way it cannot move. The Box also has another part included with it and that being the little red 3/4 disc that allows water to travel up through to the Medium Turbine when the disc has uncovered the opening on the Gear Box, this rotates all the Gears in the Upper Middle Body including the Cone Gear which turns the cleaner in another direction (Left or Right).
